About the piece
A duet for harp and piano, the two instruments Sophia Dussek performed on professionally, written for the domestic market in which such combinations were fashionable.
She later remarried and ran a music school in Edinburgh. Her daughter Olivia became a composer and organist in turn, making three generations of professional musicians in a single family line.
