Neapolitanischer Mandolinenspieler : op. 68, no. 4

The Neapolitan Mandolin Player, in which repeated notes imitate the plucked tremolo of a mandolin, by Carl Reinecke, one of the most influential musicians of the nineteenth century. He directed the Leipzig Gewandhaus orchestra for thirty five years and taught at the conservatory there, where his pupils included Grieg, Sullivan, Albeniz, Bruch and Janacek.
