About the piece
Gluckes genug, Happy Enough, is the fifth piece in Schumann's Kinderszenen, composed in 1838. It is one of the plainest and most contented numbers in the set, a small, dance-like idea without the harmonic tension found in its neighbors.
Its straightforward charm offers a moment of untroubled warmth between the more searching pieces around it.
