Inner Voices, an early collection by Adolf Jensen, whose music was shaped above all by Schumann, to whom he was frequently and not unfairly compared.
Jensen worked mainly in the small forms Schumann had made central, the character piece and the song, and was regarded in his lifetime as among the finest German song composers after Schumann himself.
