A concerto published for either pedal harp or piano, reflecting both Dussek's own dual output and the commercial logic of a market where publishers preferred music that could be sold to the widest possible readership. Dussek's later career took him across Europe, ending in the service of Talleyrand in Paris, where by contemporary accounts he grew enormously fat and drank heavily, dying in 1812.
