Full of abrupt dynamic contrasts and theatrical gestures, it captures a child's memory of a night at the opera or the playhouse, and demands considerably more control of character and pacing than the early numbers.

Robert Schumann
1810–1856
Robert Schumann was a German composer, pianist, and music critic of the early Romantic era. His works typify the spirit of the Romantic era in German music.
