About Melodics
Melodics is an interactive music practice app that teaches you to play keys (MIDI keyboard/piano), pads, and drums through timed, game-like lessons. Its core purpose is to make daily practice fast, fun, and effective by giving real-time feedback as you play along to thousands of lessons, with a guided learning path that always queues up your next step. Melodics works out of the box with most MIDI keyboards, drum kits, and pad controllers connected via USB, and supports Bluetooth MIDI on iPad; acoustic drummers can play using the device's built-in microphone. The catalog spans rhythms, chords, melodies, rudiments, courses, and exercises, plus song lessons across genres on the Premium tier. Gamified streaks, stars, and challenges, structured stages, and progress tracking reinforce consistent practice. It's built for musicians from beginner to pro who want a structured, motivating way to build skills on keys, pads, or drums. Melodics runs on Mac and Windows desktop, iPad, and iPhone (drums-focused on iPhone), but is not available on Android, Web, or Linux. Pricing is freemium: a free tier offers limited daily play, while Standard and Premium subscriptions (monthly or annual) unlock the full catalog, with a free trial available.
About ShedSpace
ShedSpace is a family of practice tools for musicians from Sprung Interactive, sold as separate products: the ShedSpace Practice Logger, a web app that runs in any browser, and the ShedSpace app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, which combines a metronome, a drone and a recorded drummer. The same tools are also available as plugins for the Darkglass Anagram pedal. In the Practice Logger, charts, backing tracks and Spotify or YouTube links are attached to each practice item, so they are at hand when the timer starts. Time is tracked per item as well as per session, every session appears on a calendar, and reports break practice time down by category, item and week. Users can build practice plans, set a goal for each item and loop the section they are drilling. The mobile app runs its metronome, drone and Pocket, a drummer recorded on a real kit at several tempos, on one clock, with 40 time signatures, a 20 to 300 BPM range and a drone in seven timbres. ShedSpace is made for any instrument. Most of its users today are bass and guitar players. The Practice Logger costs $9 a month or $90 a year after a 7-day free trial with no card required, and logged practice is kept if the trial ends. The mobile app costs $9.99 a year or $29.99 once, also with 7 days free. ShedSpace and ShedPocket for Darkglass Anagram are sold on the Anagram Marketplace.
